Call to action
The following call to action was made for all journalists and media organizations. Thank you to the media outlets for reporting on the issues in connection with the undelayable operation of the Cybercrime Department of the Criminal Police at the Noorog.mn's office on March 18, 2025. However, some media organizations are encouraged to adhere to their principles of media ethics because some media outlets are disseminating biased information that has not been verified by sources, not allowing the accused parties to comment.
In the principles of media ethics
- 1.1 states, "Ensure the accuracy of information and avoid accidental errors.”,
- 1.2 states, "Identify sources whenever feasible and check their quality.”,
- 1.6 states, "Unconfirmed reports, rumours or assumptions must be quoted as such.”,
- 1.8 states that "Fair reporting includes allowing people to comment allegations of third parties.”,
- 1.9 states, "Published information which subsequently turns out to be incorrect must be promptly rectified.”,
- 4.2 states, "No one shall be treated as a criminal prior to a court sentence to that effect.
