The Media Council of Mongolia, in collaboration with DW Akademie and supported by the European Union, is implementing the “Voices for Change: CSOs join forces to advocate for Accountability, Transparency and Public Awareness” project from 2023 to 2026.
Within the framework of this program:
We are working in cooperation with and providing financial grants to support the activities of “Student Clubs” established at journalism universities in Mongolia.
The project aims to contribute to good governance and social cohesion by supporting the accountability, transparency, and independence of civil society organizations, and by increasing public understanding and awareness of civil society activities. In this context, we are cooperating with and providing financial grants to support the activities of civil society organizations.

Tasks:
Work closely with the financial officers of 4 universities and 5 civil society organizations (CSOs) participating in the program to ensure timely submission of financial reports and to conduct preliminary reviews;
Provide guidance and professional advice on accounting and financial documentation, carry out regular monitoring and evaluations as required, and ensure compliance with quality standards;
Take responsibility for the reporting, transparency, and monitoring of project-related expenditures in accordance with national legislation and the organization’s internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and relevant laws and regulations of Mongolia;
Ability to prepare and review primary financial documents;
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and financial software applications;
Detail-oriented, responsible, with good time management skills;
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
Experience working in a non-governmental organization or on an international project would be an advantage.
