The MCM organized a meeting to form a national-level communication structure with the participation and consensus of the media, the government, and civil society to disseminate reliable information to citizens during crises, disasters, and emergencies.
The MCM implemented the "Crisis Communication Chapter – Stakeholders' Cooperation" project in 2021-2022. The project results showed that stakeholders' cooperation effectively disseminates accurate and reliable information to citizens in a particular public crisis situation. Therefore, to preserve the good examples and maintain its results, it is considered essential to create a joint national structure of the government, media, and civil society.
On September 29, 2022, due to the meeting, representatives of the media, government, and civil society agreed to form a working group to create a national-level structure for crisis communication. The working group will work on creating a structural map and studying the legal environment, and making proposals to amend relevant laws and regulations.
Representatives of the Mongolian National Broadcaster, Daily Newspapers Association, Mongolian News Websites Association, Mongolian National Websites Development Association, Local Media Association, Association of Information Communication Operators, Ministry of Digital Communication and Development, State Emergency Commission, and MCM participated in the meeting.
